Borussia Dortmund in talks with Schlotterbeck over contract extension

Borussia Dortmund continue negotiations to extend the contract of central defender Nico Schlotterbeck according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The club aims to make Schlotterbeck a key figure in the team and a future captain. His current contract runs until June 30 2027.

Schlotterbeck has been with Dortmund since July 2022 following his €20 million transfer from Freiburg. This season he has contributed two assists in 18 matches for the club.
